Renowned Fort Collins Sculpture Park- The Swetsville Zoo —Liquidation Auction

Bid Now Through December 9th!

Don’t miss Jorge Lugo, Fairlight’s Owner, talking with the Denver 7 news about the Swetsville Zoo

In 1985 Bill Swets came home from a late-night Volunteer Firefighting call with energy to spare. That night, he welded a bird out of spare parts on his 35 acre property—a gorgeous acreage nestled between the Poudre River and Harmony Road. That night, the beginnings of the Swetsville Zoo were born.

Since then, the Swetsville Zoo has become a nationally known tourist attraction and a Colorado institution. The donation-based sculpture park has been a source of endless wonder for Colorado kids and adults alike. Bill Swets has many stories of talking with generations of families who experienced the park as children and are now bringing their own children to experience the magic of his creations.

He has over 180 sculptures on the property- often welded with discarded materials-reflectors, steel posts, tool parts and so much more. He is beloved for his whimsical creations- sculptural birds and wildflowers decorate the property- but has also created some truly iconic cars -some of which are featured here for sale for the first time.

Fairlight Estate Sales has been tremendously proud to collaborate with Bill and his family to liquidate this Colorado treasure. Offered for sale for the first time, include pieces from the Swets family home, as well as a curated collection of some of his most beloved sculptural work. This is truly a once-in-a-generation opportunity to own a piece of Colorado history.
